Radisson Blu Hotel, Port Elizabeth

A comfortable stay with a lovely ocean view that enhanced the overall experience. Breakfast offered plentiful options, and the ability to create a Virgin Mary was a nice touch. Unfortunately, Christmas day lacked proper planning, resulting in disappointing service and communication issues regarding meal times. The dining room was fully booked, which left us without dining options. Future holiday planning could benefit from better staff management on busy days.

I booked superior room, liked it, and spent 1 day in it.

The room was beautifully decorated with an incredibly beautiful view of front beach.

Sea view was great.

As always, the experience at the Radisson Blu Hotel was an absolute pleasure when booked through Bookings.com. Booking in, the stay as well as the booking out process simply could not be smoother and the staff are...

Breakfast was fantastic - a really good spread!

Housekeeping/ Onetouch were a waste of time. We waited 45 minutes for a broken iron to arrive, a second iron was sent 10 minutes later and this stopped working after 5 minutes. The first iron had bare wires sticking out and the iron had obviously been dropped because it was physically cracked - a serious health and safety hazard in the real world of housekeeping. This was on the morning of our departure when we had a flight to catch. We missed breakfast as a result - and breakfast the previous morning had been such a highlight... :-(

The excellent service we received from the staff . The food was great .

Toilet had to be flushed several times , showers blocked easily as well as the sink drains - this was very fustrating . The hairdresser that designed them should be exiled . . .

Secure,free parking. Nice area in town. Clean,comfortable room. Good, tasty food. Nice service and very pleasant staff.

Long wait for one lift (as the other one was being repaired) or we were asked to use the trade lift (through the kitchen). In restaurant the air conditioning was slighly too cold.

Perfect beach view for our anniversary!

The beach is right across the street, and we caught fine sunrises from our room. It was beautifully decorated for our anniversary with red petals and roses. The wine was a nice touch! Only thing, the restaurant service was a bit slow at dinner. Otherwise, a nice stay!

The hotel is perfectly situated, with just a short walk to the fine humewood beach and the charming summerstrand village where you can find good eateries like charlie's pizza & pasta that really add to the weekend vibes. While the room experience could use some improvements in amenities, the overall service was commendable and added a nice touch to my stay.

Spa

Quality mainatenance 1. Shower drain not up to stanadard. 2. Wash water from the room above us coming down through the ceiling into our bath 3. Aircon blowing cold air. To crown it all when I requested a late check out so that I can wash at the spa , it was not well received, after insisting now told how i must make sure that i must be out at the newly requested time with no exception! By the way the only way i could get a bit of time was when I insisted that either i get a discount or a bit more time. All of this with no apology. My husband kept telling me he wants to take me to your hotel. Well, I thought I will beat him to it and take him there first! Well I am normally an accepting persong( I give people the benefit of why they gave me poor service, I am easy in restaurants, I complain less or not at all)I travelled the world, but this was my worst experience. I believe hotels room are in over supply, and everyone must do their bit not to see them closed! Please correct this esp if you know that their are service gaps that u could not resolve in advance!

I liked its closeness to the ocean/beach; the ocean/beach view is very beautiful and relaxing. Also the food and general service was excellent! The network was very good too!

The weather is very cold!!

Excellent staff. Wonderful check in. Amazing views from our room.

Bathrooms were not cleaned properly.Shower doors need to be clean before next guest checks in. No toilet rolls but housekeeping brought it once I requested it.
